Can I travel with my boyfriend/husband or friend?

You are welcome to bring your partner for support, however the expenses for your companion will not be covered by our allowance. We encourage you to consider the personal costs involved in bringing a companion.

Is it mandatory to have my own kid to become an egg donor ?

Accepted Answer

No, you do not need to have had children before. Whilst some clients may prefer this as it provides evidence of healthy eggs, others may prefer first-time donors to avoid their child having potential half-siblings.

What tests should I do and who pays for them?

For egg donors: AMH and B-ultrasound where we can check the amount and sizes of each follicle. Additionally before flying to another country clinics might request:  CBC blood test, STD tests, Blood type and RH type test, genetic testing, etc.For sperm donors: semen analysis,CBC blood test, STD tests, Blood type and RH type test, chromosome analysis, etc.IVF Donors agency fully covers medical expenses.

How old should a donor be?

18-29 years old. This gives the best chance of successfully collecting healthy eggs and sperm.

Can I choose a country where the program will be?

Accepted Answer

The country will largely depend on where the intended parent lives and decides to have a program, as travel is based on their location and their local clinics. While you can't choose the country, you can decline a match to avoid certain destinations.

Question 6

Why don't you accept donors with - RH  ?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, 80% of our clients are Asians, particularly Chinese, and the - Rh factor is not common among them, so they prefer donors with + Rh factor. There are exceptions when the Rh factor is not important for a client.

How can I check if the whole process is legit?

How often can I be a donor ?

For egg donors: you can participate no more than 6 times in your life with a break at least 3 months between each program.For sperm donors: Current FDA regulations require that sperm donors can donate only up to 10 times in his life.

Is egg retrieval painful, are there any scars after?

Accepted Answer

The process is not considered by most to be painful. Our clinics use general anesthesia to reduce any pain during egg retrieval.  There are no any scars after egg retrieval as the whole process is transvaginal. However, you can develop some minor side-effect symptoms such as nausea or mild cramping.

What are the side-effects during the egg donation program?

You may experience bloating, mild abdominal pain, breast tenderness also feel sore or have some slight bruising or redness/allergy reaction when you inject your medications. Side effects after egg retrieval vary from donor to donor. Some donors experience no side effects straight after egg donation, while some have slight reactions that go away in a couple of days after egg retrieval. This can include bloating, abdominal pain (again, like a strong period), fatigue, or possibly light spotting. You can take painkillers or use a heating pad to help with any discomfort. In rare cases, egg donors might experience more serious side effects. Egg donation can cause ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS). With OHSS, extra fluid collects in the ovaries and abdomen, which can cause pain and nausea. OHSS usually goes away on its own and donors can experience abdominal pain, bloating, weight gain, nausea, pain in the lungs and stomach ache. Sometimes in this case hospitalization is required for supportive care and close monitoring until symptoms improve.

Does egg donation have long term side effects that I should be aware of ?
